![]() ![]() The only way to strike this fighter is with your fists. Your best bet is to watch old flicks of Jean-Claude Van Damme, such as Bloodsport or Kickboxer, and then deliver whuppin'. This match needs to be won by fists-only (UFC style). Because this ninja has his sword equipped, he'll easily block your bullets. Snake has no idea what this cyborg assassin's motive is, other than he loves to fight. Continue to throw Chaffs and toss Grenades to finish it off! Boss 3: Cyborg Ninja The turret will be more effective at this point, but the tank is also more vulnerable. With about half of the tank's health gone, a Genome Soldier will pop out of the tank's shaft. With luck (and good accuracy), one should fall into its hatch. While your Chaffs are jammin' the vehicle's movement, approach it and toss a couple grenades – particularity, on its top section. The only proper weapon that can cause damage to the tank is your Grenades. Note: If you're running low on Chaff Grenades, grab additional ammo in the northeast part of the snowfield (behind the pipe tank). Also, be aware that its turret can still fire at this state, but it can easily be avoided by running to the left or right. Chaffs only last roughly between 15 and 20 seconds, so throw them consistently. The idea here is to equip and deploy Chaff Grenades they'll jam the tank's main firearm and mobility. There's no way to approach the tank, knock on the door, and throw a grenade in. Once you're clear from the mines, have your rations ready since the tank's cannon inflicts tremendous hurt to poor old Snake. ![]() That being said, mines are rather absent in the northern section (where the tank waits). Want to pick up Claymores? Equip your Mine Detector, then crawl on top of the mines from a prone position! In order to snag 'em, you need to hover from their backside. As Deep Throat suggests, the Mine Detector is a useful tool to have equipped – you'll be able to see them on your radar. Keep in mind that mines are scattered throughout the snowy field. Since this battle takes place in an open-area, Snake needs to trick him. Armed with a tank, Raven can blast Snake with its cannon and a turret. Vulcan Raven thrives on battle, and Snake is his first real challenge. ![]() Weapon(s) to Use: Chaff Grenades, Grenades Stay away from the corner pillars his bullets will bounce off the walls. It can be tricky to catch up to him, yet occasionally he'll stop and shoot at a standing position, giving you the chance to run up to him. If you shift position, he'll begin running the opposite direction. Ocelot moves counterclockwise around the corridor. He's a sitting duck at this point, so hold Square and ensure your aim is on Ocelot rather than the wires. Other moments, he'll stop in a corner and reload. At times, the "cowboy" will reload while he runs. The best opportunity to fire at Ocelot is when he reloads. Stay on the outer edges and avoid running in the middle, unless you want to be blown to pieces! Do You Feel Lucky? The first thing to worry about is the C4 booby traps – the tripwires surround the President of Armstech, Kenneth Baker, in the central part of the room. The bullets he fires can ricochet off the walls and pierce through Snake's body. Weapon(s) to Use: SOCOM Goonies' Booby-traps (Don't worry incoming calls are placed within Snake's deep ear bone, so no one but you can hear it.) Your codec is your best friend, along with your contacts. While it's unlikely you haven't played this great title before, I don't like giving away the ending to a movie for newcomers.
